Juice Pharma Worldwide pursues altruistic efforts

June 16, 2009 – 7:57 am by Gina Monari

Med Ad News’ interest in pharmaceutical advertising agencies’ philanthropic activities has grown since creating the Heart Award in 2009. Juice Pharma Worldwide reached out to share their recent project-oriented philanthropic involvement with Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York and additional pro-bono advertising plans for the future.

In May, Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York hosted its annual Distinguished Humanitarian Award Dinner honoring Margaret Ajemian Ahnert’s achievements as an author and philanthropist. Co-chairing the event was Lynn Macrone, founding partner of Juice Pharma Worldwide. Ms. Macrone joined the board of directors of Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York in 2007. Juice Pharma Worldwide provides ongoing creative support for the organization. Later this year, Juice will launch an advertising campaign on behalf of the organization featuring hip-hop innovator Grandmaster Flash.

Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York is one of the state’s foster care and family-service agencies. By transforming caring into action, this organization provides services, programs, and guidance to improve the lives of children, families and the developmentally disabled. Its mission: Make the promise of a better life a reality.

Juice is involved with Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York as a result of Ms. Macrone’s active dedication to the non-profit organization. The Juice team jumped on board once they learned more about the work Little Flower does on behalf of New York children and families in need.

Juice has provided promotional communication support to Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York since 2007. Ms. Macrone and her team at Juice have used their creative and marketing experience to provide advertising campaigns for the organization, to get the word out about all of the programs and services Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York provides for children, families, and those who are disabled.

Juice provides ongoing creative-strategic support in the form of advertising campaigns. Juice efforts on behalf of the organization are in support of fundraising, foster family recruitment, and in raising awareness of the organization. Recently, Juice developed a series of advertisements that will run in conjunction with Little Flower’s radio and television campaign featuring New York’s own hip-hop musician, DJ, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and former foster-care child Grandmaster Flash.

Ms. Macrone joined the board of this organization in 2007, although her relationship with Little Flower spans many years before that time. Ms. Macrone’s parents, John and Isabelle Macrone, first became involved with Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York through their friendship with Monsignor John Fagan, the longtime champion of Little Flower. They have held this organization close to their hearts, providing support for the past 25 years. Ms. Macrone’s mother served on the board as well.

Ms. Macrone serves on the External Relations committee, which is responsible for providing outbound communications, fundraising efforts, and fulfilling other special assignments. This is in addition to her broader participation in all board and committee meetings, functions, and special events, such as the recent Distinguished Humanitarian Award dinner in New York City.

According to agency managers, working on pro-bono projects gives Juice the opportunity to give back to the community. The creative teams enjoy extending their craft to provide innovative creative solutions for these organizations. Everyone involved feels gratified knowing they used their creative expertise for the greater good.

Aside from Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York, Juice is participating in an all-network initiative with The Concept Farm and Worldwide Partners Inc. on behalf of Greenpeace. Greenpeace will launch a global viral social media campaign to influence President Barack Obama’s administration to take necessary action combating global warming at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in December of this year.
