Company of the Year: AstraZeneca
August 4, 2009 – 11:02 am by ChrisBy the end of July, it’s always the same scenario: the editors of Med Ad News get together in our conference room and look at pages of financials, press releases, and other materials from the world’s top pharmaceutical companies and have a spirited debate about who we should choose as the pharmaceutical company of the year for our September issue.
Everyone has their favorites, but ultimately, we try and choose a company that has exhibited a good performance in the past and has the potential for a great performance in the future. In these troubled times, that’s a lot harder to determine than it was in the past.
This year, we chose AstraZeneca. Congratulations to everyone in the company who helped make it what it is today, and are setting the stage for a promising future.
